Meet Eve
Ruff Work was founded in 2020 by Eve, a lifelong dog lover and experienced trainer with more than 25 years of hands-on experience working with dogs.
Before founding Ruff Work, Eve worked for several years as a veterinary technician in West Columbia, South Carolina. That experience gave her a deeper understanding of canine behavior, handling, health, and the bond between dogs and their families.
Eve’s love for dogs began early, along with a fascination for teaching them new skills. Over the years, she has trained dogs in everything from everyday manners to more unusual skills, including teaching a dog to read, which remains one of her favorite training accomplishments.
Eve also brings a strong teaching background to her work with dog owners. She earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University and has spent more than 20 years homeschooling her children, along with five years teaching in public schools. Her strength is not only training dogs, but helping owners understand what to do, why it matters, and how to follow through at home.
Eve lives in Georgia with her husband, an Air Force veteran, and their large blended family of nine children. Their home is shared with two Lab mixes, an Australian Shepherd, and a Standard Poodle.
